A Canadian artist and designer with 10 years of experience in art, design and management.
I am the proud owner of an overgrown garden and best buds with a little floppy eared dog who often confuses meeting time with play time.
Wallflower Studio is my creative home.
Let’s get real. I named my business Wallflower Studio because I’m not the life of the party. I do, however, love to plan one - especially when there’s a theme involved.
I landed on Wallflower Studio because the traits that make me a reluctant party-goer but a good party planner are the same traits that have allowed me to help countless clients draw connections and find ways to put themselves out there and connect in the world - whether that’s through an art piece or a total rebrand.
As I’ve continued through my creative practice, I’ve found myself longing for connections in the analog world as well. And when my best friend moved across the country and started sending me greeting cards, it reinvigorated this sense of excitement I’d get when I got cards in the mail as a child for typically low-key holidays like Halloween. Through this, I realized that the greeting card is the perfect canvas to help people connect with those they love in a way that’s slow, meaningful, and of the moment.
While Wallflower itself as a visual brand is rather muted and simple, my art features colourful characters, inspired by life, who aren’t afraid to take “centre stage”. My hope is that somewhere amongst them you’ll find one that resonates with you and inspires you to reach out to someone you love or bring your own project to life.
When producing my products, it’s important to me to help give back wherever possible so that the same communities and resources that support my work today are also there for others in the future.
All of my products and packaging are designed with sustainability in mind: they’re recyclable, made from eco-friendly or recycled materials, or created on FSC certified paper - and often all three! I also donate 1% of all gross profits we generate through our products to Tree Canada - which helps restore and grow forests across Canada.
